KNOW THE BRIEF HISTORY OF YOUR NEXT PRESIDENT INSHAALLAH

H.E Sen. Engr. Dr. Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso was born at Kwankwaso town in Madobi local LG of Kano State on 21st October, 1956. He started Islamic school at the tender age of four (4) and later enrolled for western education in 1962.

He obtained both his National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Civil engineering from Kaduna Polytechnic.

Being him a very hard-working, after a stint with the Kano State government as an "artisan craftsman", he went to United Kingdom UK to further his education in "Middlesex Polytechnic (1982 - 1983), "Loughborough University of Technology (1983 - 1985) and Nottingham University (1987 - 1991).

Subsequently, he attended some certificate courses at Derby National Water Council (1982), Derby Water Industrial Training (1985), and London Industrial Training (1985) and bagged a Doctor of Science ( Hons) from University of Maiduguri.

Awarded Doctor of Science & International Relations (Honoris Causa) for his immense contributions to public service by the Crescent University, (University of Islamic Mission for Africa) Abeokuta, Nigeria in Sept. 2012.

H.E worked with Kano State government for 17years and rose through the cadre of the civil service to the rank of Principal Engineer. 

In 1991 Sen. KWANKWASO left the State's civil service and vied for election in to the Federal House of representatives and was elected as the Deputy Speaker of the house in 1992.

H.E RMK was elected as a delegate to the Constitutional Conference in 1994.

He's the first elected Governor of Kano State ( 1999 - 2003) after the military regime.

NOTE: He made an unexpectable history of accepting his defeat to the Gov Ibrahim Shekarau, where he conveyed his whole cabinets to Shekarau's house and congratulated him for the betterment of Kano people.  

An appointed Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in (2003 - 2006)  of Obasanjo's regime.

Being an expert and acquired vast insightfulness in SECURITY challenges, he was appointed as the  Special Adviser to the President on Darfur, Somalia ( 2006 - 2007) where he recorded massive achievements to the heritagious crises culminating the area.

Also, appointed as Representative of the North-West Geo-Politacal Zone in the Niger Delta Developments Commission, NDDC (2009 - 2010).

The only patriotic Nigerian that made a historic come-back eight years after vacating the Kano Government House, with a political revolutionary ideology known as the KWANKWASIYYA MOVEMENT which is symbolized by the red cap and white brocade.
